D is for ... (and a bit of IWSG)

Just a quick note for IWSG, last month I spoke on my lack of confidence regarding my writing.
I've been pondering over this matter trying to figure out the underlying problem and guess what?
I've found it, thanks to this very simple, yet profound message (talk about eye-opener):

now onto our special A to Z program:

Deer Creek Reservoir State Park!

If you love boating, water-skiing, sailing, wind-surfing or anything waterly, this place is for you! Oh, and  there's camping too... This amazing lake is 6 miles long with a stretch of 2,965 acres all around . It is open in the summertime from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, and  8:00 am to 5:00 pm in the winter.

Don't you fret none! There are modern-day conveniences so you  do have flushing toilets as well as a few little yummy restaurants!

Location: up HWY 189, UT 84604

Do you enjoy any kind of water sports?

I used to have a Fritz and Ernst cartoon that said "Fear of Success, please help but not very much" while one of the characters stood outside a building holding a tin cup for collections.

I thought it was cute, so I kept it...but sometimes I feel like my subconscious wanted it because I seem to always push myself just hard enough to teeter on the ledge of success but never actually hoist myself to the other side.

I love being near the water but usually not in it unless there is a tube separating me from the murking waters below. I love tubing! It's always been something I long to do every summer.

I have no confidence either when it comes to writing. I am always surprised when someone enjoys it.

Your D place is beautiful

I'm glad you mentioned flushing toilets. They are kind of a necessity for me.

I loved that scene! It's so true.

Also, that park is beautiful. I haven't been camping or anything in years.

The one time I tried to water-ski, I wound up in a hospital for a month afterward. Still enjoy swimming when I get the chance, though. ;)

Edna Mole is awesome!

Love Edna Mode. She knows all.

I enjoy kayaking when I get the chance to get out there and do it. Deer Creek looks like a beautiful place to visit.

Hi. Newbie here, and an unofficial A To Z Challenger.

Wow, that little clip hammered me, too. Sometimes answers come from the most unexpected places and in the shortest form. I guess it's up to me to usher the guests out of my pity party.

I'd better like water sports because I think there's more water than land here in the River Valley Region of Arkansas. Luckily, I grew up in Santa Monica, CA and lived in the ocean. It's coming in handy here, especially after drying out for so long in Las Vegas.

Glad to "meet" you, love the clip and the post, and looking forward to the rest of your alphabet.
