#NaNoWriMo Luck and Luvs!

What a wonderful way to share your support with fellow writers! Click on the badge above to START!

So it's that time of year when we gather around the fire in our cozy fuzzy warm socks staring listlessly into a pulsating screen. Does it mock the words that crowd our brains (or lack of) as we scramble to hit our 50k before our writing buddy does? Or maybe a past record?

Remember to take a well-deserved day off to refresh the voices in your head!

What is your NaNo project this year?

I am not participating in NaNo, but I am familiar with the cursor mocking me. Ugghh.

I watch the tube to be able to NOT think about current wip! But only after a day of working on it. My project on NaNo is "That 70s Girl" and it might be a memoir or fiction or a bit of both! Love to buddy up if you'd like. My "handle" on NaNo is LBCollard....

No project this year, but I have participated in the past.

Once again I'm not doing NANO this year. I've got too many other things going and focussing on creating a new novel is more that I care to deal with right now. But I cheer for those who are putting forth this effort. Yay!

LOL! I am not participating in it either. It's fun but stressful, especially when time is a beast!

Aw, I love my writerly buddies! <3 After having Babykins, I haven't had a good grip with reality. Then again, as a writer, that isn't so bad. :P

That's okay! I have too and it's stressful. Enjoy!

Yay! I have lots of irons in the fire as well, though I wish creating a novel was, well, one of them, but I like writing those on my own terms! :D

I was going to do NaNo, but changed my mind on the first day. I just had a feeling it wasn't going to work out.

I'm doing NaNo and just about making par each day. Feels a little tougher than last year's NaNo, for me.

Good luck on your NaNo. I have a different goal in mind while the writing takes care of itself. :)

No, no, NaNo for me. Too many other projects started to do that.

I'm not doing nano but I just started a new project and I do feel the muse tugging at me, which I must say is a lovely feeling. What are you working on, Elizabeth? Do you ever get distracted by your other muse, the visual art muse?

I can't participate in NaNo, one cause I'm too busy and two I write too slow!!! Good Luck to you!!!

I'm trying to participate in this this week. But just as I did so my laptop hard drive died again. I thought, "no problem. That's why I signed up for and began using Dropbox, to make sure my writing is backed up at all times." And then I went onto Dropbox and found that, no, in fact it is not. It hasn't backed up my work in 2 months. Argh!!!

Elizabeth Mueller said...

Oh no! Steve, that's awful! :( I'm so sorry to hear this. Could you get a thumb drive in the meantime? Maybe a disc... ((hugs))

What I do for backup is email my files to myself and stick them under "WiPs". Good luck, please let me know what happens...

I understand. So many things going on in life... Maybe next time? Or you could even informally challenge yourself!

Elizabeth Mueller said...

Hooray! You can do it! <3 What are your writing about this year?

Elizabeth Mueller said...

That's great to hear! Enjoy. :)

Elizabeth Mueller said...

Oh, yes, I hear ya!

Elizabeth Mueller said...

lol. For me, it would be distraction by the kidlets! I have other projects going on that are begging for demanding deadlines. Not this time!;)

I love to feel my writing muse tugging. Sometimes it's so overpowering, and sad when I can't obey because of impending deadlines! I just finished illustrating a children's book for my illustrator but had to put aside my muse a few times. Now that I'm free, it's on to my next project that needs pushing!

To be honest with you, my visual muse is not as vocal as my writerly one. The times I give into her is now while the leaves are turning orange and red. I have to be ready with my camera as I drive (stopping by the shoulder). Fall is absolutely beautiful!

How do you two muses at once? :)

It's all good. There's always a chance to push ourselves on our own and that is enough. ;)
