IWSG: a place where writers and friends share woes or hugs.
Welcome to mine!
The fearless co-hosts for the month are Pat Garcia, Sylvia Ney, Liesbet @ Roaming About Cathrina Constantine, and Natalie Aguirre!
Before I address the question of the month, allow me to express how strange 2020 has been. Not only the Covid19 Pandemic but so many other crazy things are happening around us at breakneck speed--I find myself at the epicenter writing away as best as I can considering the circumstances. Whew, what a year.
What goals were you able to accomplish? Do you have others in mind for 2021?
Okay, now what you've come for!
December 2 question - Are there months or times of the year that you are more productive with your writing than other months, and why?

For me, life happens nonstop whether by month or day. It doesn't make a difference when I have a houseful of kids and homeschool--it is busy every day, every month, every year!
I do find, however, that I am more productive during the wee hours of the morning when everyone is still asleep.
Merry Christmas, everyone! I pray 2021 is a better year for everyone!
How is it like for you?
I was able to accomplish finishing my series. That was my big task for the year. I wish I could've finished a couple of my first drafts, but...life.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Oh, wow, that is super exciting, Chrys. Congratulations! Merry Christmas to you too!
DeleteThat's great you can squeeze in writing time before your day gets too busy to write. Have a safe and healthy holiday!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Natalie. :D
DeleteGlad I don't have to contend with a houseful of kids but at least you have your writing time.
ReplyDeleteLOL, yeah... Thank you! :)
DeleteThat's the same for me. I get up at 5:30 in the morning so I can have an hour and a half or so before the kids get up to write.
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful that you can do that! If only the kids were late risers, right?
DeleteLike you, I snatch that time whenever I can! Makes it fun when we get a chance to sit down with our laptops!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and yours all the best for 2021!!
I love my laptop! Where is your favorite spot to write?
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteWith a house fill with kids and homeschooling, you have quite a load of your hands. I applaud you.
Have a lovely Christmas and a safe and gentle crossover into 2021.
Shalom aleichem,
Pat Garcia
Thank you, Pat!
DeleteIt really has been a year turned inside out, hasn't it? I'd dearly love the company, as you have, of little ones; to teach, to hug, to love. I've often thought that many, if not most, wee-hour writers use words as wands in magical displays of masterful time/space management. Your positive attitude tells me you're a natural ;-)
ReplyDeleteA very merry Christmas to you and yours!
Wow--I love the way you think and write! Happy New year, Diedre!
DeleteI didn't get far with my writing until my kids got a little older! Writing in the wee small hours isn't me, but kudos to you for managing it!
ReplyDeleteGetting writing in is challenging!
