Just a quick note for IWSG, last month I spoke on my lack of confidence regarding my writing.
I've been pondering over this matter trying to figure out the underlying problem and guess what?
I've found it, thanks to this very simple, yet profound message (talk about eye-opener):
now onto our special A to Z program:
Deer Creek Reservoir State Park!
If you love boating, water-skiing, sailing, wind-surfing or anything waterly, this place is for you! Oh, and there's camping too... This amazing lake is 6 miles long with a stretch of 2,965 acres all around . It is open in the summertime from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in the winter.
Don't you fret none! There are modern-day conveniences so you do have flushing toilets as well as a few little yummy restaurants!
Location: up HWY 189, UT 84604
Do you enjoy any kind of water sports?
I used to have a Fritz and Ernst cartoon that said "Fear of Success, please help but not very much" while one of the characters stood outside a building holding a tin cup for collections.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was cute, so I kept it...but sometimes I feel like my subconscious wanted it because I seem to always push myself just hard enough to teeter on the ledge of success but never actually hoist myself to the other side.
I ADORE EDNA and esp. this clip!!! Yay!!! "Pull yourself together - slap, slap!" LOL!
ReplyDeleteTake care
x
I love being near the water but usually not in it unless there is a tube separating me from the murking waters below. I love tubing! It's always been something I long to do every summer.
ReplyDeleteI have no confidence either when it comes to writing. I am always surprised when someone enjoys it.
ReplyDeleteYour D place is beautiful
we "love" that scene in The Incredibles. "pull yourself together!" great stuff.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you mentioned flushing toilets. They are kind of a necessity for me.
ReplyDeleteI loved that scene! It's so true.
ReplyDeleteAlso, that park is beautiful. I haven't been camping or anything in years.
Hello! I'm not into water sports. Haven't been camping in years. Did enjoy reading your post.

PUTTING WORDS DOWN ON PAPER
The one time I tried to water-ski, I wound up in a hospital for a month afterward. Still enjoy swimming when I get the chance, though. ;)
ReplyDeleteEdna Mole is awesome!

Love Edna Mode. She knows all.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy kayaking when I get the chance to get out there and do it. Deer Creek looks like a beautiful place to visit.
Love that video clip! Thanks for introducing me to the Insecure Writer's Support Group!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a beautiful park to go to! I too love the Incredibles and that scene is so right!

Great D. I'm there....
ReplyDeleteHi. Newbie here, and an unofficial A To Z Challenger.
ReplyDeleteWow, that little clip hammered me, too. Sometimes answers come from the most unexpected places and in the shortest form. I guess it's up to me to usher the guests out of my pity party.
I'd better like water sports because I think there's more water than land here in the River Valley Region of Arkansas. Luckily, I grew up in Santa Monica, CA and lived in the ocean. It's coming in handy here, especially after drying out for so long in Las Vegas.
Glad to "meet" you, love the clip and the post, and looking forward to the rest of your alphabet.

Lots of Ds there :)
