That’s right! Time to list the worst movies ever made.
Here’s the scoop:
Worst Movies Ever Blogfest!
In the words of Alex:
"On Monday, September 19, post a list of up to ten of the worst movies you’ve ever had the misfortune to watch. Films that just oozed awfulness and featured plot holes so big you could drive a bus through them. Any genre or year, but only theater and straight to video/DVD titles. (Otherwise we’d all list every movie ever made by the SyFy Channel!) Sign up, grab the button, and on September 19, give us the worst! And be sure to visit others participating in the blogfest."
So, are you ready to warn the world about some really bad films?
--------
I had thought The New World with Colin Farrel would be something sweeping and fantastic, but it sunk like a stone to the bottom of a pond so quickly for me.
Call me lame (maybe not so?), but I can't think of any other movies that I've seen! I'm very selective with what I watch and usually go by friends' recommendations!
Can you think of any movies off the top of your head that you thought were cheesy?
I'm heading over to see what others have thought about what movies were lame--just click on the button above!
I love the way you couldn't think of other movies you've seen. It is difficult when put on the spot. I wasn't much of a fan this movie either.
ReplyDeleteI have not heard of this film! Which is just as well! Yay!
ReplyDeleteI've already said this in other blogs - but Titanic - snorefest for me! Sorry!! LOL! Take care
x
Yet another one I haven't seen :-)
ReplyDeleteLately, all the ones I've seen in the movies were lame...not awful, just not worth the admission.
ReplyDeleteI think as you check out everyone's lists, some new ones will come to you. And I've not seen this one - good!
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in the blogfest.
Melissa, lol! You're right, I was put on the spot, and even though I wrote this post a few weeks ago, I still can't think of any! :-/
ReplyDeleteJennifer! Oh, funny! I enjoyed Titanic! ;) I was horrified when so many people died.
Em, I'm curious to the ones you've seen!
Alex, true! Thanks for throwing it!
I haven't seen this one either, but thanks for the warning! I (hopefully) wont have to see it! LOL :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! The worst movie for me was Reign of Fire. Couldn't even watch half of it. Geez.
ReplyDeleteWorst movie for me.... I've seen so many bad ones, and New World is included in that. I think maybe I'll go with "Percy Jackson" movie. I read the books and loved them, but the movie sort of doesn't follow it very well outside of the skeleton. The characters are boring in the movie, the world isn't fleshed out very well, etc. People that haven't read the book enjoy the movie, or so I've heard, but they don't know what they are missing.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I wish I knew about this in advance because I would have liked to post something about this on my blog.
I've never even heard of that movie. :)
ReplyDeleteI did a post on my blog with my top 10 yuks.
Jess, hi! It had a weird feeling to it, I can't explain it, but there was a HUGE hole in it...
ReplyDeleteLaura, I liked that movie! I like to watch it once in a while. I thought it had an interesting premise to it... ;) It tires me out how many movies expect Americans to save their behinds, though -OR- that Americans save the world! :P
John, movies often don't do their books any justice!
Karlene, Lol! I'll check it out! ;)
yes. this one was quite disappointing.
ReplyDeleteThis cover made me think of that Time Machine movie from 2002. Man that was horrible.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen The New World. Good thing, too!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it but I can see why your expectations were high. What a let down it must have been.
ReplyDeleteYou're just spending too much time writing and reading...that's not a bad thing. It won't eat your brain cells. :)
ReplyDeletei enjoyed the soundtrack score than the movie, if you want a three hour nap... there you go.
ReplyDelete:)
i love bad/worst movies, these lists are tough!

I haven't seen this one. Thanks for the advanced warning.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this movie--I'll be sure to stay away from it, though!
ReplyDeleteNever saw that one, thank heavens! I hated Dead Man's Chest so bad that I refuse to watch any of the other Pirates movies. I can't even watch the first one anymore!
ReplyDeleteI did not see this movie. It never looked that interesting to me.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice! I actually skipped out on watching this one, thankfully it would seem! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm usually pretty selective as well. Then there are times where the previews looked good and it was like buying a bad book. I spent money on that?!? Yeah. I've never seen this movie, don't think I want to either. :D
ReplyDeleteI've never even heard of that movie!
ReplyDeleteThis blogfest is helping me remember how many bad movies there are out there!
ReplyDeleteVic, sadly enough. :(
ReplyDeleteLonewolf--no kidding...
Laila--whoa! You know me very well--or is it that you and I share something in common? *writing! ;)
Jeremy, ooh, to be lulled? I like the sound of that. ;)
Stephen, you're welcome. I'm enjoying this blogfest. :D
Angie, lucky you that you didn't get sucked into that undertow! :P
Paul, good for you. *sigh*
Amy, you would be weirded out if you did see it.
Mel, I hate when that happens. That's why I make it a point to rent first!
Lydia, tell me about it!
Hobgoblins.
ReplyDeleteNope, never heard of it, good for me I guess
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of this one. I'll know to avoid it now, though :)
ReplyDeleteI missed that. Lucky me. But it really does sound like it should be great. As for cheesy... I think Battlefield Earth is about as cheesy as it gets.
ReplyDeleteYep, New World was difficult to watch. Terrence Malick really marches to the beat of his own drum, but overall I really enjoyed the film. It was a very quiet film though.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen it, but it seems that it's the ecpectations that ruin it, more than the movie itself; at least it was for me.
ReplyDeleteThis blogfest has really shed light on some doozies, hu?
ReplyDeleteDoralynn, don't like cheesy movies! :P
Marcy, it was definitely different. I couldn't get into it at all and was very disappointed. :(
Will, that's so true. *sigh*
I know! What a disappointment this one was!!
ReplyDeleteI despise Colin Farrell so I missed out on this gem!
ReplyDeleteTracy, tell me about it. :(
ReplyDeleteJennie, lol! ;)
I haven't heard of this one. I guess that speak volumes of your choice. Great job. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't remember this movie at all. Glad to know the trailers left an impression on me.
ReplyDeleteI heard of it but thankfully never saw it...
ReplyDeleteDon't worry. As you know from visiting my blog yesterday, I too only selected one movie for my worst movies list. Most bad movies don't repulse me, and I'm very fortunate to find out ahead of time which ones would do precisely that, so I avoid them. I'll make a note to avoid this one, too.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, I HATE that movie, it was one of the biggest pieces of trash I ever watched, just plain bad.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this one.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I love really bad movies like Giant Octopus verses Massive Shark. (blushes...but so much fun with my teenager)
Maybe this was a case of having too much material for a two hour movie to do justice? Consider yourself lucky that you could only come up with one!
ReplyDeleteYep, this one was lacking in so many ways. Could've been great... but that's how it goes these days... coulda shoulda woulda...
