I'm such a hopeless romantic!
Oooh! Can you see why this romance author loves this episode? I was so enamored by the love here, but so CRUSHED at the end. I cried. No, I bawled my eyes out and I was only a teenager then!
I was also intrigued by the romance between Will Riker and Deanna Troi. Their little interludes had me coming back for more in hopes that one day . . .
they would end up together.
I'm so glad they married at the very end.
Finally . . .
What are your favorite scenes?

Oh you romantic woman you!! Awwwwwwwwwwwww! How lovely!! Yay for true love in outer space! If I'm to pick a romantic scene or two - it'll be the tragic ones between Capt Kirk and Joan Collins (City on the Edge of Forever)and that between Sarek and Spock's mum! Take care

Awww, very cute.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these. I also loved the romances they placed into the series and was so glad to see that Wil and Deana finally got married. They paired her off with everybody. I always wanted Beverly and Picard to get together. Sigh. :)
ReplyDeleteYou sure can tell you're a fan! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI always liked Data too, even though in Generations he went a little off the deep end.
ReplyDeleteLoved the romantic element to your list. Riker and Troi were a great couple.
ReplyDeleteNot a trekkie, but always fun to see what others think.
ReplyDeleteYou are a hopeless romantic!
ReplyDeleteI listed my favorite episodes today, with DS9's trip back in time to the Tribbles at the very top of my list.
nice lovy-dovy... star trek moments...
ReplyDeletei think my favorite is when data finds spot in the rubble and starts to cry... wait that's not romance... or is it?
jeremy
ps. yeah i know.
Great rundown on your favorite Trek stuff Elizabeth. I agree.
ReplyDeleteAw, I love data- he's awesome! And his cat is so cute <3
ReplyDeleteFabulous post. I always hope I'd end up with Kirk . . .ah, well.
ReplyDeleteData is my favorite too. I wasn't a big Riker or Troi fan, but the romances that kept popping up always intrigued me. Do you remember Lt. Ro and Riker?
ReplyDeleteGreat picks on your list. I could watch the Enterprise and Reliant hunt for each other all, that is my favorite scene.
ReplyDeleteI love Data too. I don't think I could pick out a favorite scene or episode. I love them all so much!
ReplyDeleteLove your choices. Makes me want to explore the 'net for episodes of Trek I haven't seen
ReplyDeleteJennifer, poor Sarek. :(
ReplyDeleteLaila, tell me about it! It should've happened, too! :(
Milo! LOL! I liked his kitty, Spot, too! :D
Alex, yes, the Tribbles. I love how they react to the Klingons and how the Klingons react to them--talk about true comedy! ;)
Jeremy, it is LOVE! *sigh* ;) I loved that scene too! :)
Ellie, LOL! I thought he was cute when he was young. ;)
Christine, I loved Ryker and Troi when I was young--now I wonder why they just didn't go ahead and get on with it. Ugh... Lt. Ro? I've always thought she was gorgeous! <3
Bn, that was a great episode! I still can't get over the fact that Kahn is from Fantasy Island. ;)
Huntress, I know there are many that I haven't seen! I would love a Star Trek Marathon night! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Ryker & Troi ended up together, too. My husband was so in love with Beverly Crusher.
ReplyDeleteGreat choices! Data is the best! :)
ReplyDeleteMary, Beverly was a wonderful character. I liked her too!
ReplyDeleteAmy, go Data!!!! ;)
Wonderful choices! By the way you have a new follower!
ReplyDeleteAw... you chose the romantic part. How awesome!
ReplyDeleteCute that it's the romance in the show that you loved! Great memories!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear someone else is a giant Data fan. :)
ReplyDeleteTotally agree! So happy that Will and Deanna got together in the end. I agree with Laila, though- kept hoping Picard and Dr. Crusher would have tied the knot, too. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat twist on the blogfest. I like the romantic angle.
ReplyDeleteLovely choices, and I agree about Riker and Troi. They were so meant for each other in spite of everything the writers kept trying to do (like have her marry Worf!!).
ReplyDeletei loved that Troi and Riker finally married, but really wished he hadn't been such a lech with all the other women they dragged thru each episode.
ReplyDeleteOh how I loved "The Host". It was achingly romantic. I'm glad Troi and Riker were married also. Beautiful choices.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful post, I love Star Trek, a greeting.
ReplyDeleteI heart Star Trek, but I wanted Troi to end up with Worf. Humph.
ReplyDeleteI gave you an award on my blog today.
How sweet, Elizabeth!!
ReplyDeleteI never really watched much of the other series, but I can see I missed out. I'm supposed to be the horror writer, but in truth, I think I'm really a big softy like you.
;)
-Jimmy
Jess, thank you! *HUGS*
ReplyDeleteClarissa, the softer side of Star Trek. ;)
Danette, I know I've missed so many more, but these are the ones that I remembered. :)
Libby, I really liked Data--especially when he stood up to the Borg Queen! :D
Mariah, thank you! :)
Donna, LOL!
Michelle, I think they wanted a dashing young Kirk persona in here and Picard couldn't live up to it for some reason. *rolls eyes*
Belle, thank you! :)
Leisha, I wonder how it would've ended up if they had??? An award? Yipeee! Thank you <3
James, how sweet! Horror, eh? Maybe you could have two mass murderers fall in love! ;)
I must admit I'm not a StarTrek fan, but I enjoyed the pictures.
ReplyDeleteI particularly enjoyed the photo of the couple with the champagne flutes kissing, that was very romantic.
Thanks for warping around the Federation with us! I have a lot of favorite scenes, but one that pops to mind is the first meeting between Wesley Crusher and Robin Lefler in 'The Game'; he thinks that he's such hot stuff and she shows him that he doesn't know everything about sensor calibration. :)
