♥.•*¨ MC Blogfest is HERE--Yippeeeeeeeeeeee!

Welcome to the MC Blogfest where us writers slip into our beloved character's heads and answer the following 3 questions.

I must confess that #2 had me thinking hard. My character, I realized, locks all her emotions away. She hardly ever thinks about her feelings. Alex is the only one who can bring them out.

♥.•*¨ ¨*•.♥

Meet Winter Sky from my debut novel Darkspell--releases fall 2011.
Let's see how she answers Jeannie Campbell's Character Questions:

Question 1: What is your greatest fear?

My greatest fear? I don’t like to think about it, but I think it’s not feeling loved or wanted.  Actually, now that I think about it, it’s abandonment. My dad left us when I was only ten. Is feeling unloved and being abandoned the same thing? ’Cause it sure feels a lot like it . . .

Question 2: What is your biggest accomplishment?

This sounds silly now that I say it out loud, but I feel that my biggest accomplishment is the strength I get when I’m with Alex—I’ve never felt more capable than that. I feel like a part of something bigger. I have purpose. It surely gave me strength against the darkness.

Question 3: What is your biggest regret?

My biggest regret is that I never had the chance to show Daddy how much I really loved him. I mean, would he have left if he knew just how much I loved him? Maybe if he loved me enough . . .

I'm really excited to see how other writers answered their 3!

But first, I'd like to thank every one of you who decided put your characters under the microscope! Thank you for your participation!

Please visit my blog tomorrow sometime before midnight EST for the winner for Jeannie Campbell's Writer's Guide to Creating Rich Backstories!

    Winter-those are tough regrets!
Hope things get better for you!

  10. Congratulations Elizabeth on you new novel ...

Winter Sky is a fantastic name, it also suggest turbulence in her life since winter skys are usually gray with swirling ominous masses of clouds.

I hope she gets the love she needs and deserves.

  11. That is an awesome name and I hope Sky finds the love she deserves. Great interview.

  12. Being with Alex IS a great accomplishment! Wait, she doesn't mean me, does she? Crap.
I've been visiting lots of participants today!

  13. What a great idea this is! I loved it.

Oh, I hope your MC finds some happiness in her life :( Poor little thing.

  14. I like the honesty, particularly with the last one. It adds a bit of suspense along with your characters longing. Quite interesting. :-)

    Edge of Your Seat Romance

  16. I feel for poor Winter, but great interview and beautiful name!

  17. All these authors have to make our lives so terrible, like it's going to sell books or something to take away our dads. My author killed my big brother. Writers suck!

  18. Thanks for hosting. This has been great, and I loved the challenge of getting into my character's head. It sounds like yours and mine have a lot in common.

Rosie, thank you for participating! Imagine if we combined our characters into one book? How fascinating that would be! Have you ever thought of throwing in a character from every book you've written into one new one? Imagine that!

  23. Thanks for hosting this cool blogfest!

Winter sounds like a complex character. I love that name. Hopefully she'll find some inner peace along the way!

  24. I feel her pain and insecurity from being left by her father. That is a deep wound, hard to rise above.

  25. I love the sweet sadness she projects. And, isn't it amazing--a lot of MC fear abandonment, loss of love. Regrets have to do with relationships. This has been fun. TX for being so bold.

  26. Awesome!!

feeling not loved!! It is huge problem!! You seem to have caught it well!!

    with warm regards

  27. Great blogfest.

Winter - The link of fear at being unloved and abandoned makes sense, especially considering what brought on the fear. It's good you found someone who makes you feel strong and capable.

  28. Alexia, hi! Thank you for visiting! I'm glad you had fun! Have a happy weekend!

Marsha, thank you--it's pretty common with MCs. It makes me wonder how it is with real life?

Susan, it has, hasn't it? I would've never guessed if it hadn't have been for this! Thanks for dropping by. :)

    Another Author, thank you!

Dawn, you're wonderful, thank you for your support! *hugs*

  29. Thansk for hosting the blogfest.

Winter, you are a brave young girl who has gone through much. You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders and are not afraid on a little introspection. Stay strong.

  30. Lindz! Thank you for the fun and for the sweet note for Winter. I'll make sure to tell her. <3

  31. Thanks Elizabeth, this was a lot of fun. It really got me thinking about the depth of my characters.

  32. KM--I'm so glad it did. Thanks for participating! <3
