♥.•*¨ My Moral of the A-Z ¨*•.♥
So I've learned an important thing about this challenge:
How to write short, but catchy posts.
I"ve earned 3 important things in this challenge:
More friends, skills in writing condensive versions, and speed!
If you joined the challenge, what learns and earns did you gain?
If you did not, are you going to join next year's?

Well, I learned that I could post almost every single day on one blog and still keep up with two group blogs. I did not learn to write short, however. I still had longish posts but that's okay. We know I'm not a short writer (word count wise). ;-)
ReplyDeleteAs for next year, we will have to wait and see. The challenge of going to other blogs every day was the hard part. I have no idea where I'll be a year from now.
I envied those who managed short posts but only because of the time it took to keep ahead. The difficult part was trying to keep up with other blogs in which I participate.
ReplyDeleteI'll be back better prepared next time, I hope.
Congrats again to finishing the challenge!! Yay for you!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTake care
x
I've learned that posting everyday when you HAVE to is not particularly relaxing. :D I've also learned that it's a good idea to think of some kind of theme beforehand, so you can make sure you don't write ridiculously long posts. Next year I think I'll be doing an A-Z of photographs :P
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing, and lovely to see the things you've learned and earned :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Rach
Love the zebra! Too funny!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Zebra award! I posted it today. :)
ReplyDeleteThe hard part was finding the time to visit the other bloggers. I failed miserably at that. I'll be going through the list for months yet. ;)
I did get new followers, but the biggest earn is all the great new blogs I've found.
Marian Allen
Fantasies, mysteries, comedies, recipes
Who would've thought huh?
ReplyDeleteI learned to plan ahead, pick a theme, and schedule posts in advance. I actually started planning way before it started. It was hard going to a lot of blogs every day plus keep up with the current but I did find some fun/interesting new blogs to follow.
ReplyDeleteI'll sign up for another round next year. I already have my theme picked out :)
I love your zebra award! I think the hardest part of the A to Z challenge is keeping up with everyone else's blog. There were so many great blogs out there I wanted to visit, but I only have so many hours in the day.
ReplyDeleteProbably the most important thing I came away with are the dozens of new friends I acquired, seriously, dozens. It was hard and I lost momentum and enthusiasm, but I'll do it again next year. Maybe I'll pre-write throughout the year.
ReplyDeleteI also learned to post in advance and have partial drafts ready. I also learned, duh, that the more I did it, the better my posts became!
ReplyDeleteI learned I cannot visit 1200 new blogs plus keep up with the blogs I already followed no matter how hard I tried.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm an outside voice here, in that I didn't take part.
ReplyDeleteA common comment I'm seeing here is the difficulty folks had in reading all the other posts in the challenge, and I could see the effects of that early on in the month. With so many bloggers so dedicated to the challenge, it seemed like nobody had time for anything else. It felt like a bit of a ghost town here on the outside.
Whether or not I give it a go next year will depend on what's going on in my life. When my planning horizon only goes as far as the next weekend, that's a whole 'nuther story :D
I learned... (drumroll, please)... that I'm glad I tend to be a weekly (vs. daily) blogger!
ReplyDeleteI've learned how much time blogging can take up if we let it ;) It was a brilliant challenge though :)
ReplyDeleteI learned that when taking on something as insane as the A to Z Challenge, it's best to plan ahead. Especially if you're as much of a perfectionist as I am.
ReplyDeleteI also learned that 1,282 is a much larger number than I thought it was at the beginning of the month. But enough about me. Congrats to you on surviving as well! We now return you to the rest of your life, which is already in progress.
Congrats on finishing! :) I don't know if I'll take part next year but I'm definitely glad I did it this year.
ReplyDeleteI learned those things too. Although, I'm happy to have a blogging rest.
ReplyDeletei lerned alot of new things about my followers which i adore and i learned that some letters are easier to write about then others
ReplyDeleteThat badge is so fun Liz! I learned that this big ol' blogosphere of ours is filled with the most amazing, kind and compassionate people ever. They are a blessing to me!
ReplyDeleteExcellent job on the challenge! Congrats on finishing!
ReplyDeleteI learned, quite simply, that blogging is fun. I put a great deal of effort into each of my A-to-Z Challenge posts because each post was very important to me. If someone was going to visit my blog for the first time and that letter was their first look into me as a writer and thinker, I wanted them to have a positive impression.
And awesome job with the Award design. If you don't mind, I went ahead and put it up on my blog! If you get a chance, come stop by :)
Yeah, I'm afraid I'm still wordy, LOL! I gained knowledge of the wonderful blogging community and how close-knit and supportive it can be. Love the badge!
ReplyDeleteI learned to be more spontaneous and let it be okay not to plan ahead - often when I did plan to use a word, at the last minute I used a different one and it came out better.
ReplyDeleteI learned that though a challenge is great fun for making new friends, it's not as satisfying for me in the writing department as when I post about about something that I have a deep need to express.
This is my second year in the challenge and I think it's great. This year I learned how unpredictable life is...so it's better to write and pre-schedule at least part of the posts.
ReplyDeleteI learned that this was a great way for a new blogger to really get going. It stretched my creativity. I gained new friends along the way, which has been fantastic. I also learned, that slow internet can be even more frustrating when you're trying to visit multiple blogs every day!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the Zebra! So cute! Congrats to you as well on completing the challenge. Now back to our regular program!!
Wow, so many great experiences passed this month! It was a huge learning curve and deepened our blogpersonalities, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, commenting, following my blog! You guys rock!!!
Well, I learned I had more time to blog and respond to blogs than I orginally had thought. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for the beautiful award. Congratualtions to you too for completing the challenge. I enjoyed it and I dreaded it some days too. I learned I can do it. I met so many wonderful bloggers along the way too.
ReplyDeleteI learned many things about children's authors. I feel like I got to know so many personally, even though they have no idea who I am! One of my favorite days was when an author I wrote about posted a comment!
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting together an awesome award!
Carla

P.s linked through to you :)
Thanks for the award. It was a fun blogfest. Exhausting as it was, I'm glad I did it.
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the award. I added it to my blog site and linked it back to your blog.
That was my first blog challenge and it was quite an experience. I got a bit wigged out with so many entrants though.
Thanks so much for the beautiful Zebra award! I love zebras and even have a zebra print chair! I also appreciate having you as a follower, and look forward to following you! Thanks again, Julie
ReplyDeletei'm glad i saw it through, i guess above all i learned that i can be disciplined when there's need to be. it was challenging coming up with a post everyday.
ReplyDeletethank you so much for the lovely award.
It was quite a month! Thanks for such a cute award! :D
ReplyDeleteHello...congrats on completing the A to Z challenge...
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you so much for making the award..!! You are really an encouragement...!
I haven't even thought about doing next year, I think I'm still recovering! Love the award!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you learn and smile via a-z challenge.
ReplyDeletebless you.
The things that I learned are:to go with the flow. Rewrite and revise later. ALWAYS write down what you hear. Like if a small voice is carying on a conversation stop what you are doing (even at the store) write it down or you will lose it.Be creative there is someone out there that is thinking along that line that really gets what you are trying to put accross.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Award.
Enjoy your day.
Thank you so much for the award.
ReplyDeleteI am very honoured, and grateful.
I'm pleased we found each other, Elizabeth.
I've learned lots from the A-Z challenge. Mainly;
Discipline. Writers, write and I need to apply myself more, and focus.
To believe in myself, and what I'm writing.
And that I'm not the only one who feels like this! - It's been great to find like-minded A-Z bloggers. And more importantly to follow those on into the future.
Look forward to following your blogs and writing through the future
x

I am new to your blog. I loved the challenge. What I learned. 1. That I can write and post on my blog every day (it's a matter of priories and scheduling) 2. I learned that there are some wonderful unique blogs out there. People are blogging about things I've never heard of and I find it fascinating.
ReplyDeleteI participated in the challenge last year and I can't wait to participate next year. BTW Love your blog!
You've earned/learned some high useful things in the Challenge. Congratulations in making your way to the end. Thank you for the fun award and I'm seeing it all over the place including my own blog. Thanks for your participation in the Challenge and beyond.
